Children’s Ministry: “252 Kids”
Does the idea of helping children learn about God and develop relationships with others in fun, exciting, and creative ways sound like something just up your alley? If so, we have many ways you can partner with us to love on the children of MHBC.
252 Kids is an exciting action-packed ministry with specific programming to inspire and grow children from birth to fifth grade in their discoveries of God and their faith. AWANA is a Sunday afternoon, high-impact ministry that includes sports competition, Bible memory, and fun activities.
Immediate Need: 2:52 Sunday School Lead teacher for elementary 10:45 service 2:52 Sunday School Lead teacher for preschool 9:00 service Female Awana Leader for girls grades 3-6 Nursery caregivers-9:00; 10:45 First Sunday. 9:00 Second Sunday
2:52 Kids Sunday School Lead Teacher – Prepare and teach lessons between 20 – 40 Sundays a year for a toddler, preschool or elementary class. Ideally attend one service and teach one service. Curriculum and training provided. MHBC needs 8 – 10 Lead teachers to staff two services each Sunday.
2:52 Kids Secondary teacher – Commit to assisting for 20 - 40 Sunday morning services a year for a toddler, preschool or elementary class. No preparation required. Please attend one service and serve one service.
2:52 Substitute teacher – Be available to sub for regular teachers in preschool or elementary class on Sunday mornings.
2:52 Nursery Caregiver – Serve in our nursery one service once a month or quarter. MHBC needs 16 – 20 people to commit to nursery service.
Awana Director or Secretary – Guide and organize leaders and children for 31 Sunday meetings. Some weekly preparation required. Awana meets Sunday evenings 4:00-5:45pm throughout the school year. MHBC needs 7 to run our program.
Awana leader – Commit to serving 31 weeks as a small group leader for preschoolers or elementary children. This is an excellent entry-level position! MHBC needs 10 -15 leaders.
Paid Childcare – Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Study, Mom to Mom on Wednesdays, Good Friday services, Christmas Eve Services and other Special Events.
Children’s Choir – Encouraging children to worship God through music during special and seasonal events.
