Mission & Values

The mission and focus of Morgan Hill Bible Church is to connect people into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue intimacy with God, community with one another, and to impact our neighborhood and world for Jesus Christ.

Biblical Foundation.
We believe that God has spoken to us through the Scriptures. Therefore, the Bible is our ultimate authority that we are to know, practice and make known. In what ways is my lifestyle consistent with Scripture?

Prayer & Devotion.
Recognizing our dependence upon Christ, we pursue a vital relationship with Him through prayer and His Word. We rely on Christ’s grace & power working through us to accomplish His purposes and to bring us into His image. How am I focusing my life to pursue a vital relationship with Christ—growing in dependence upon his grace and power?

Missional Living.
We are each called to our neighborhood and world to live out the person of Christ with love, truth, and grace, conveying God’s message of redemption and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. In whom are you investing & inviting?

Authentic Community.
Ministry and personal spiritual transformation happen in an environment of relationally-connected people intentionally gathered to know Christ and to motivate one another to love and good works. Who do I meet with regularly for growth and service?

Strategic Service.
Each believer is responsible to exercise his or her gifts with excellence for Christ and to accomplish our mission in coordination with other members of the body of Christ.  Where am I serving with my gift(s)?

Intentional Apprenticing.
We believe that every believer is responsible for passing along their passion for Christ and His Word, as well as the knowledge, skills and opportunities for service that God, through others, entrusted to them. Who is apprenticing me and who am I apprenticing?

Cultural Relevance.
When Jesus came to redeem mankind He literally became one of us. He was God wrapped in human flesh walking among us.  Similarly, every local church is embedded in a specific time, place and culture.  Following Jesus’ example, the church must use what is relevant to communicate that which is timeless.  Are we doing ministry in an engaging and helpful way?
