Service Groups
We seek to end the typical "committee" mindset for getting work done in the church and convert to a "community" mindset. To change committees to communities, and ministry from being task oriented to people oriented.
Christian ministry both inward to the group and outward to the mutual goal of the group.
Some of the service team opportunities you can join include:
Video Technical Team This team records Sunday morning services and special events such as testimonies, baptisms, and baby dedications. These recordings are then edited for use in new guest CDs to introduce MHBC to our new guests; in training videos, and for event promotion videos.
Welcoming Team This is a team of people is dedicated to making people feel welcomed as they get to church on Sunday morning. The welcoming team is made up of greeters at the doors and in the parking lot, ushers who help seat people, and they man the information table and helping those with questions.
Hospitality Team This is a team of people dedicated to making special events a pleasant experience by providing food and or refreshments appropriate to the occasion. This include coffee and pastries on Sunday morning or arranging food service at events.
Office Volunteer Team Office needs arise from time to time and volunteers are needed to come and serve in a variety of office situations. E.g. stuff envelopes, make copies, put together binders, etc.
Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Team This team will be responsible for weekly mowing, trimming and weeding and other related activities such as fertilization and general organization and cleanliness. This team will also do minor planting of gardens and flowers.
Information Technology Team This team will help with support for computers, printers, copiers, internet services, etc. for the church main office and other buildings.
Service Elements Team This team is responsible for helping with special elements of the worship service such as Baptisms, Communion and Baby Dedications.
Financial Management Team This team manages the financial aspects of the church and includes leading the budgeting process, tracking expenses versus budget and income and making recommendations to the Elders regarding our financial situation. They will also be helping with the management of funds during construction of the new facilities.
