Success at Morgan Hill Bible Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large environments into community groups. At MHBC, the community group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a community group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up. Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That's why we place such a high premium on group life. It's how we minister effectively at MHBC.
Some groups meet in homes and some at the church. Some start as large groups and move into a small group environment (eg., Women's Bible Study). Others consist of a group of 10-15 people meeting together weekly. Some are couple's groups, some include kids, some are mixed adult groups and some are topic driven. Some take the weekly sermons as a format for further study, discussion and application. Others assist in "recovery" issues to break through barriers to on-going spiritual growth. If you start in a group and find it's not a good fit, you are welcome to try out other groups till you find your fit.
