"God can use crooked sticks to draw straight lines." People and circumstances can lead to many twisted paths and outcomes. Often in life, there are many things that are out of control. David was met with unexpected extremes, yet through every event, God still worked. David thought he was on a straight path to what God had promised him. Just like David, we may suddenly find ourselves in a "cave" or dark place in life, but God isn't done making a way, no matter how crooked the path may be.
